Communal Farmers operate in rural areas where the security of tenure remains a challenge within limited grazing land. Despite the situation, Communal Farmers have survived and continued with their farming ventures, despite the historical challenges faced.  The sheep production sector has been the main driving force under the new democratic dispensation for the Communal Farmers as Wool Production has proved to be the main vehicle for poverty eradication. The increase in Wool price has benefited Communal Farmers as a key indication of success and potential in the industry.  We acknowledge the urgent need to develop a sustainable secondary product to wool such as Wool wash, weaving & spinning as this will contribute towards job-creation thus reducing unemployment.  The revision of the Constitution was then critical in order to align with the newly adopted 3-Year Strategic Plan 2019-2021.
